If you don’t know how to get started or lack the motivation, why not book yourself a personal training session. The Retreat’s personal trainer will tailor-make the workout to your specific needs and will ensure you get on the right track. If you book ten sessions, you get one free session. Please enquire at reception. (two of us in the office have and we have not been disappointed!)
Gym Membership
For best use of the gym and its facilities, we encourage you to sign up to one of the Retreat Spa’s Gym Memberships. They have packages ranging from Bronze, Silver & Gold, each with the possibility of joining from one day to a full year. Please enquire at reception for 2018 packages.Eating Healthy
We are not nutritionists so we highly recommend you visit one for a healthy eating plan. We can however, offer some basic clean eating principles:- Avoid sugar loaded soft drinks and juices
- Eat 3-5 small meals a day
- Drink at least 2 litres of water (8 cups a day)
- Never miss a meal, especially breakfast
- Avoid alcohol (lots of sugar!)
- Don’t overdo your portion sizes, a good guide includes 1 serving of protein (size of the palm of your hand), 1 serving of complex carbs from whole grains (one cupped hand) & 1 serving of complex carbs from fresh fruit and vegetables (two cupped hands together)
