The latest Cyprus property figures continue to highlight the strength of the market in Paphos and Limassol, particularly for buyers looking towards the higher end of the residential market.
New figures for the first half of 2026 show that Limassol attracted the highest overall value of new-home sales in Cyprus, while Paphos recorded the highest median selling price for new houses.
Paphos remains particularly strong at the premium end of the market, with a median price of €570,000 for new houses, while more than one in five new houses sold during the period achieved a price above €1 million.
International demand also continues to play an important role in the Cyprus property market. During the first seven months of 2026, foreign buyers accounted for more than 41% of property sale contracts across the island, with Paphos now emerging as the leading district for overseas buyer activity.
For us at Aphrodite Property Sales, these figures reflect much of what we continue to see across our core areas. Buyers remain attracted to established locations offering a combination of lifestyle, accessibility and long-term appeal, particularly Aphrodite Hills, Secret Valley, Pissouri and the wider Paphos and Limassol districts.
While the Cyprus market varies considerably from one area and property type to another, well-positioned and realistically priced homes continue to attract interest from both local and international buyers.
For anyone considering selling, this makes accurate local pricing and presentation increasingly important. The headline figures may be encouraging, but today’s buyers are informed and selective, making detailed knowledge of the individual area and comparable properties essential.
