Paphos has been identified as the best city to buy a summer holiday home abroad by credit eligibility firm TotallyMoney.
According to Mortgage Introducer website, TotallyMoney rated destinations based on average property price, temperature, the number of rainfall days, English proficiency, the daily number of flights, the average flight cost, the number of amenities (bars, nightlife, restaurant, shopping, entertainment) and whether there are beaches.
Other locations rated highly were Lanzarote in Spain, Corfu in Greece, Cork in Ireland and Florida in the USA.
Joe Gardiner, TotallyMoney’s head of brand and communications, said: “Purchasing a holiday home is a big investment and one that requires a lot of research.
“It’s important to consider all of the factors before buying, we aim to make this easier and alleviate some of the pressure when making such an important financial decision.”
